When were "flesh" colored Crayolas discontinued?

Heh. When I was in preschool in 1968 I had been given a Superman coloring book and a lousy 8-pack of crayolas. Having neither peach nor flesh, I use the brown “cudder” on Superman’s face. My teacher found it amusing that I had done a “Negro Superman”.

If it helps… As a boy in the '80s, I remember seeing both “flesh” and “peach” crayons occasionally, and used both for coloring skin… But my mom’s a penny-pincher, and we always had whichever brand of crayons was cheapest, sometimes Crayola, sometimes not, usually hand-me-downs or school leftovers. So it seems probable to me that some other company kept using “flesh” even after Crayola switched to “peach”.

Ken Nordine did an album in 1966 called Colors which he talks about the “color” flesh.

The album is pretty cool and I would like to pardon my hijack after the fact.
