I haven’t watched The Simpsons regularly since 1999 or 2000. Last time I watched an episode, I was confused because some of the voices were clearly different. They’ve already replaced some voices, so I imagine the big test will come when the voices of the Simpsons themselves are the ones who retire or pass away. If they can get away with replacing Julie Kavner then it’s a safe bet they can replace anyone and the show could go on until the heat death of the universe. ---

Well, that’s kind of a bummer. Say what you will about his accent, I won’t argue (though some people do talk like that) but he was a much more complex character than he started. And one of the smartest folk in town. Thank you, Apu, come again! ---
