Before they got their TV show, [the cast was fairly clean-cut](http://www.today.com/popculture/beards-duck-dynasty-stars-are-unrecognizable-8C11411204) and didn’t wear beards. Presumably they are laughing their way to the bank. I would expect that they’ve already selected one of the sons as the bearer of a more quiescent opinion. Others can play the game. Moderate and Leftish Christians could point to this example of hate speech as justification for pursuing a more prominent media profile. But as Czarcasm says, it would involve TV appearances. An attention seeking Reverend with a forgiving church membership might be a better candidate than a bishop. ---

Speaking of spouting fool things, are these similar to the consequences faced by the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, and the Rev. Al Sharpton? Do you demand that all Christians, or maybe only a select color of Christians, denounce fool statements? Or does popular denouncements only apply to those you define as hicks? ---

I know I sure wouldn’t want somebody to decapitate my wife’s head off. I think I could live with a decapitated foot or something, though. ---

Decapitating the head _off_ is excessive. Couldn’t they just decapitate it a little bit? ---
