against all forms of animal rights, and a happy meat-eater / in love with animals so much that it’s sickening. Seriously. I love zoos. I’ve got four cats and a dog, and if I could I’d have sheep, ferrets, skunks, songbirds, aardvarks, lynxes, lions, tigers, foxes, goats - especially goats! Elephants. I jump at the chance to go to petting zoos, as long as the animals seem reasonably happy. I _may possibly have cried_ when I ran over a bird with the lawn mower a few weeks ago - my girlfriend _may_ have had to go out and dispose of it for me. At the same time, I don’t think that these non-human animals are rights-bearing entities. They’re more properly described as a natural resource, although emotionally I detest the person who treats them poorly. ---
