So they’re evil, but not great at marketing? On the whole, it sounds exciting.
Haven’t most folks thought, hey, I wonder if I could jump up there to reach that, before giving it a try and (a) sometimes learning, yup, it turns out that I can, but (b) sometimes learning, well, I thought I could, but I fell short by — what, two or three inches? That’s surprising. Okay, let me back up some more steps, get a good running start this time, push off just so, and I’ll bet I’ll be able to — wow, I was still like an inch shy of touching it?
From the earliest memories I have, no one was ever flying around, so I think it was simply an inherent knowledge that people simply cannot fly as opposed to an epiphany.
I probably would have discovered it that time I was knocked off the roof of an asylum.
(Okay, technically, it was a hospital wing housing a secure psychiatric ward, but “asylum” fits the thread better.)
