When I was very young, I can remember my All-Time cartoon hero was a Character named “ **Prince Planet** ” that came on daily right after grammar school. Most of you may still remember him. “He was the guy that flew around with this Roman Centurian type helmet on and carried this big Gas Gauge around his neck that gave him energy” I think his last showing was somewhere back in 1974. When I began my Teen years, My newly found idol became Conan the Cimmerian. Ther were a few others like Speed Racer and others, but for me Prince Planet and Conan were by far me favorites. Oooh, this one’s tough. I think the overall answer is going to have to be Wonder Woman. But Gloop and Gleep from the Herculoids might come close. And I do have something of a soft spot for Jem. I mean, c’mon, she was _truly_ outrageous. And sometime in the 80’s, I had the same earrings. 🙂 ---

I spent way too many hours watching Bugs and the rest of the Warner Brothers gang not to give them a mention. Also watched a lot of Woody the Woodpecker and back in those days any time Donald or Mickey were on Disney it was a huge treat. ---

Dating myself here, but my earliest hero was **Crusader Rabbit.** :eek: In comic books, I was a serious Legion Of Super Heroes fan. But I don’t recall favoring one hero over the others. ---

Favourite cartoon would’ve been Tom and Jerry\* narrowly pipped these days by vintage (pre Chuck Jones) Daffy Duck. \*the 1940s Fred Quimby ones not the later crap. Actually _crap_ is far too good a word for them but this ain’t the pit. ---

Definitely Wonder Woman. Her character’s name was Diana, which is close to my name. I had a little shorts/halter/jumper outfit that sort of resembled the Wonder Woman costume, so I’d put that on and grab a piece of rope (Remember that lasso-of-truth thingy she had? She’d rope someone and they’d be forced to tell the truth.), then go outside and rope the forsythia shrubs and make them tell me the truth! ::singing:: Wonder Wo-maaaan She was followed closely by my other hero, for which there wasn’t a cartoon… The Bionic Woman. ---

Oddly enough, at age 4 I had a crush on Neptina, the mermaid on _Marine Boy._ [Here’s her pic.](http://www.susieg.supanet.com/Neptina_02.jpg) Oddly enough, she was topless in that kiddie cartoon, circa 68. For me it would have to be the crew of the Argo/Space Battleship Yamato in “Star Blazers.” The show was my introduction to Japanese animation, and remains my all-time favorite. The characters were heroic but flawed, and the suspense of whether they’d make it to Iscandar in time was almost enough to give me ulcers at age eight! 😃 _We’re off to outer space!
