For what it’s worth, I saw _Police Beat_ last year at its Seattle film fest screening. It’s pretty good: not really a straightforward story movie, more a haunting piece of visual and emotional poetry. And by coincidence, it begins a one-week run tomorrow at Seattle’s Varsity theater. Definitely worth seeing, if you’re interested in unconventional cinema.

Based on _Police Beat_, I’d say Mr. Devor is approaching the horsecock tale with something interesting up his, er, sleeve.
