Eh, I dunno. I’ve been called “white boy” in a disparaging manner many times in my life (I grew up in a largely Asian and Hispanic neighborhood). The amount of racial invective I’ve seen hurled around by everyone against everyone is pretty staggering. Of course, bizarrely, there were almost no racial tensions in the neighborhood or at my school and groups weren’t polarized or anything. I think alabateroid is the funniest one. As for the OP, no, I don’t think that “whitey” is used anymore except in satire/parody/mockery. It just harkens back to an earlier age of much higher racial tensions and so is an effective parody of ideas that may be associated with that attitude. Or they are stupid college kids making a dumb joke. Whichever. ---

Michael Moore uses it in his 2002 book “Stupid White Men”. Chapter 4 is titled “Kill Whitey”, where he basically damns white people as the cause of all evil, and recommends hiring only black people. ---
