Check under your furniture. All of it. You mentioned you had cats? I don’t know about yours but mine are notorious thieves and will waltz off with all kinds of things and hide them under the couch or in the bed. ---

I have an absolutely fool-proof system for finding my keys – I give my daughter $5 to find them. I can search for hours and when I’m finally ready to cry, I break down and give her the $5 and in minutes I have my keys. Funny how I always loose my keys when there’s a book fair or some kind of sale at school the next day. :dubious: ---

Any chance you took them back out to the car with you? Say, you forgot you had them in your hand and set them down when you went back in the trunk? I lost mine that way once. ---

Bummer. I just lost mine, too, so I know what a pain it is. My plan is to accuse someone else of stealing them. I mean someone in my immediate family, not some bum off the street. This usually results in outrage, and then I find them, in a place obviously of my doing. Even that didn’t work. I know they’re in this house someplace, after all, I got into the house, didn’t I? ---

Half the time whatever she’s looking for is in the first place where I say to look. Pity it doesn’t work for those two passports of mine she “put in safe places” (the cop lady looked at me funny when I went to report a lost passport for the second time in three years, she sure did). Are your keys on one of those pieces of furniture you “never use”? Mom keeps leaving her glasses on top of shelves that she swears she never uses. ---

They aren’t on my car (although if they were they wouldn’t be now!) I picked up all the crap on one corner last night and will start on the rest of the living room today, but when I get home I’ll do a hunt through the tall grass near where I park.
