The great craze in DVD is TV series packaged as full-season sets. I love this…I’ve got MASH, Simpsons, Futurama…but… When I peruse the DVD catalogs, it seems like they’re doing this with shows from the 70’s…MASH, Mary Tyler Moore, All In The Family, Good Times, Sanford and Son, the Jeffersons, Charlie’s Angels. And with shows from the 90’s and beyond. The only 80’s hit I’ve seen in this format is Cheers. (I suppose it’s technically possible to include Simpsons in the 80’s, but it really wouldn’t be right.) Is there really no demand for the Cosby Show, Family Ties, Night Court (this was the era that MADE Thursday night NBC’s domain), Family Matters, Growing Pains, ALF…? ---

I’ve long said that _Hill Street Blues_ would be a good candidate for DVD. So would _St Elsewhere_. And while I might avoid them myself, there’s probably an audience for _The A-Team_ and _Miami Vice_. ---

Let’s get the Wonder Woman DVD sets out before we start worrying about the 80s… I get stuff from Columbia House every now and again offering up their one-or-two-ep per tape/DVD sets and I’m reasonably confident there’s a selection of 80s stuff (I seem to recall The A-Team featuring heavily in the last mailing). ---
