I get it and I don’t get it; it just looks like a box and some squiggles inside to me. Must be my browser? (Older MAC running FireFox)

Those are [Emoji - Wikipedia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emoji). They’re growing like a weed. Both in popularity and in the number defined in Unicode.

Ref **kopek** , there may be a way to update the standard fonts on your machine to recognize the newly defined characters. If not, you’re going to see that “I have no symbol for this character” symbol for any of them.

If it was up to me they’d all go right in the ������
