A unarmed man was shot & killed, at first glace without justification, by a cop. One man is black the other white. Why no outrage? ---

How many deaf, white guys were killed by cops in the last 5 years? Not to minimize this guy’s death, and he almost certainly didn’t deserve to be killed. But if there is not a systematic problem that needs to be dealt with, then I don’t see why we can’t let the existing oversight methodology run its course. ---

The OP is nothing more than a logical fallacy. It very well might be the case that the is a problem with how chops deal with deaf people. If you think that’s the case then start that conversation. However, just mentioning it doesn’t say anything about whether Black Lives Matter should be doing something about it and it doesn’t act a some kind of evidence that Black Lives Matter’s point is illegitimate. ---

How come the American Cancer Society is totally silent regarding Diabetes? Obviously, they don’t care how many people suffer! ETA: More seriously, if there were a protest against this killing, I would bet that there would be a Black Lives Matter presence, sympathetic to the issue. (And, sure as ducks are ducks, some jackasses would complain that BLM is trying to “horn in” on “someone else’s” tragedy. Damned if you do, and damned if you don’t!) ---

Man, fuck Breitbart. Black Lives Matter is, for anyone not paying attention, an organization that’s trying to lower police violence against black people. If this organization doesn’t work hard to lower asthma rates among black kids in LA, or heart disease rates among black women in Wisconsin, or diabetes rates among black men in Kingston, that doesn’t make them hypocrites. ---
