It’s a stupid question, but does anyone know where I can find an audio recording of an actual nuclear explosion? For free, preferably, and with no other sounds mixed in (Like music, screaming, a grimly intoning narrator, etc.).

Thanks for your time,
Ranchoth

Howyadoin,

Hmmmm… My father’s friend had an album circa 1966 called something like “Sounds of the Air Force”. It had all kindsa blowing stuff, including what I recall to be a fission bomb, or maybe an H-bomb, it’s been 25 years or so since I heard it. Pretty killer stuff as I recall (NPI) 🙂

I’m googling for it now, I’ll let you know if I find a link.

This might do ya… the audio quality is weak though. Not what I was looking for, but here ya go.
