# Where can I get individualized movie/tv recommendations

Critics opinions and websites are usually not accurate for me. I don’t know if it is because my tastes are not in line with the kinds of people who write reviews, but a lot of times I will find myself really enjoying a movie that didn’t do well by critics.

So how can I get individual recommendations? The only way I know of is netflix where you rate enough movies and you get recommendations for it. The problem with that is netflix only recommends movies they are streaming, and I am interested in all movies and tv series (at last count there were over a million individual ones, that is the figure I’ve heard), not just the 20k or so netflix is streaming which are usually lower budget.

I am starting to rate movies on IMDB to see if I can get a good watchlist going. Are there other sites to look at?
