Where coudl I buy paper that can'tbe ripped? Tyvek perhaps?

This finally did it - I’m using my guest chance and delurking against my better judgement (I waste enough time lurking - being a posting member can not possibly improve this habit). This is the first time someone hasn’t already said what I was going to say, and I actually have some relevant info.

Adventure Paper is not “paper” in the classic sense. It’s a mixture of silica and polyethylene, treated with a special top layer to allow it to accept printer inks. It takes ballpoint ink just fine, so feel free to write on it. Be aware that for some odd reason, certain inks (mostly Sharpies, IME) will fade to near obscurity over time. I like gel pens for writing on it - very smooth.
Because of the manufacturing process, it will tear in one direction only. Narrow strips of it can be stretched in that direction up to twice their length if you’re bored.

The material is also being used for durable restaurant menus, identification cards (does not delaminate easily, if at all), labels, and possibly passports.

Welcome aboard! Good points all, but if it works like paper, acts like paper, and doesn’t melt in the rain, it must be a duck!

Very good details, and I hadn’t thought of those things. Do you have any geeky info site that talks about the manufacture process?

Thanks for the welcome - it feels strange to delurk after…um…four years? At least? Whenever the winter of missed content was.
