I always thought it was from the series Firefly. Does anyone have a more accurate answer? ---

Though the series is named _Firefly_, the movie based on the series is _Serenity_, which is also the name of the ship the protagonists live on, and the two-part debut episode. ---

Yes, but the line in question was from the series, not the movie, and it wasn’t in the pilot episode, either. So there’s really no reason to mention _Serenity_. ---
