# Where did my posts go?

I have made a few posts lately that have just not shown up the next day, even though I saw them in the thread at the time.

For instance in [this thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=369284) I posted right after Iris Rings–I did not see Iris Rings’s post before I posted but saw it on preview. I was redirected back to the thread and saw my post there and then I went on to other things.

Now the post is gone. My apologies if you can see it; I can’t.

But this is not the only time this has happened lately. I’m familiar with posts getting eaten by the hamsters but when that happens it usually goes like this: compose post, submit, message sits there, suddenly I get a “server not found” message. This just looks like my posts are being made to disappear after the fact.

I still seem to be a member, though.
