# Where did my sig line go?

I changed it, and I clicked on “show signature,” but it doesn’t appear. It shows up when I preview, but it doesn’t appear in the thread.

Oh, _I_ get it! You have to click “show signature” again _after_ you preview.

Yeah, the “Show Signature” field doesn’t retain its information when you preview. This is a known bug.

BTW, if the sig is more than twice as long as the post, don’t bother putting it in. Especially not when the one immediately previous also has it. 🙂

Welfy – Go [here](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=51542) to find out why Rysdad has such a long sig. I for one wholeheartedly approve of it.😃
