# Where did the Wednesday Addams archetype originate?

Didn’t Queen Victoria start a fashion trend of dressing in black? I know Vicky wore mourning clothes for most of her reign.

Nothing in Wednesday Addams’ behavior indicates that she is a ghost. Never in the Addams Family television show or the movies did she appear and disappear at will, float, glow or appear semi-transparent, move through solid objects, etc.
