On a side note, I’ve been wanting to ask this for a while: I just found out I can take the GMAT or the GRE. Does anyone have an opinion which is the preferred one to take?

I didn’t do any work with the University Players, so no luck there. If you went to theatre parties, I’m sure we probably bumped into each other (sorry about that), and you may have been to my house (I used to live at 39 Fletcher, up by the hospital). Um… I directed Steve Martin’s play _WASP_ for my Senior Directing Project. Does any of this ring any bells?

I’m fairly sure that’s where **Labdad** told me he went to school. He’s also from that part of Atlanta. In case you missed it in the HS thread, I went to Tower’s HS and also Rowland Elementary in the general vicinity.

Haverhill, MA
B.A., Creative Arts, 1983 (interdisciplinary major – I concentrated on creative writing, literature, and theatre)
Bradford closed down at the end of the 2000-2001 academic year. Teeny, tiny college with no endowment to speak of. There were 30 of us in my graduating class. I had the time of my life there and wouldn’t change it for the world!

I’ve yet to meet another woman who graduated with a business degree from SMU and is pursuing a career, but would love to do so. It’s a rather elitist and expensive school, but I went on scholarship, so don’t hate me (My mother was a secretary in the law school, so my tuition was free.) Beautiful campus, excellent professors and curriculum, which I felt were wasted on the rich kids who attended. (Exceptions abound, I’m sure.)

Bradford is one of the colleges I applied (and was accepted) to; I visited the campus in early '89. 🙂 I had no idea it closed down! I remember that it was, indeed, very tiny – that was part of its appeal. I think they lost me when they mentioned the underground tunnels that were used to get around campus during snowstorms. I like snow just fine, but they had a need for underground tunnels? :eek:
Funnily enough, I was just talking about Bradford on Sunday: my old college roommate visited me for the weekend, and while we were on the Metro coming back from D.C. we were talking about the other schools we applied to (my friend almost didn’t wind up at our college). I mentioned Bradford not only for its size and the snow thing, but because that was where I first heard the New England use of the word “wicked:” during the visit, my mom and I sat in on a class and the teacher told everyone that the upcoming test would be “wicked easy.” 🙂
