No, only because I didn’t date much in college. Trust me, it’s true what they say: “now my son’s gonna grow up to be an engineer!” (We _had_ to date at Tech - the Emory girls did _not_ appreciate us very much. 🙂 )

But I also did some Cougar time (1981-86) as a Geology major at the University of Houston, **NE Texan**.
I’ve also attended the University of St. Thomas, North Harris College, College of the Mainland and Houston Community College (all in or near Houston).
And in the thread referenced in the OP, I noted that Clothahump and I went to not one, but two of the same high schools.

**meathead** I always thought Grove City was famous for some court case involving to what extent federal funding obligated a college to adhere to the equal protection clause. Or Title IX. Or something like that. At any rate, I’ll bet there’s some SDMB lawyers who have heard of it.

Actually, I remember reading about a basketball game between Cabrini and Eastern (another Pennsylvania school) that went something like seven overtimes. The game was played in the 1980’s, IIRC, and was even mentioned by commentators on an ESPN telecast of a clash between two institutions more noted for their athletic prowess. Even before that marathon tilt, however, I had been scouring the “Around the Nation” (scores in agate type) section of the sports pages for years, and had thus familiarized myself with at least the names of all four-year institutions that fielded basketball teams in NCAA or NAIA competition.
Oh yes, the purpose of the thread… Virginia Wesleyan College, 1981, B.A. in English (Outstanding English Major of my class).

Hey! I didn’t remember to put the dates in, but I was there from 1984-1989, so we were on campus at the same time! I lived on campus from '84-'86, too (Taub Hall).

Well, not the Econ bit. I was a double in Communication and Philosophy.
Were you an Even or an Odd? And did you ever walk down the wrong staircase in Main? I did it all the time, to the distress of certain of my friends, but I graduated anyway.

An Odd! Never the wrong stairs. NEVER. LOL. I can’t tell you how tickled I am to have another Macon grad here. I graduated in 1989.

Harrisburg…The way I figure it…the turnpike “pits” at da 'Burg where it crosses 83 that heads down to Maryland.
That and it being just somewhat of a pit type place to live.

Hey, **Enright3**! I’m a product of TJC! It took me about 7 years or so to finish, but I did in the late 90’s. (And finally came out with my Associates in Arts and Sciences.) I also did a year at TU, until I moved east.

LOL – we hardly used the tunnels. It was much easier to sprint across the snow-covered lawn than to negotiate stairways! The tunnels were built back when Bradford was a junior college/finishing school – legend had it that the girls shuddered at the thought of having to change buildings during inclement weather. I think at one point during my junior year they were mostly used for storage.
I haven’t been up that way for almost a year now. The last time I visited, it was almost like walking through a movie set – everything’s still there and looks exactly the same. Nobody’s around except for security personnel. It’s comforting yet somewhat wicked eerie at the same time 😉

I’m an Oddie too, 2003! And I will confess that not only did I repeatedly walk down the Even Stairs, I also went in the Engagement Tower. But it was only because my First Years threw one of my Ring Night notes in there and I couldn’t think of any other way to retrieve it.
I’m sure that paragraph was incomprehensible to everyone else on the board. What a weird school we went to. 🆒
