Surry Central HS in the sprawling metropolis that is Dobson, NC.
Class of 1983
And for the person currently at Southeast Guilford, I actually went to first grade at nearby (but now closed) Rena Bullock Elementary School. Of course, that was 33 years ago. :eek: Also, my three kids will most likely all attend Northwest Guilford High, since we now live near Oak Ridge.

Gfloyd…my parents moved to Bedford last year. As I’m sure you know, shacks in Lexington now run to InsaneAmountIwon’tEvenRepeat so my parents gleefully sold off their little colonial right smack next to Lexington Center and the High School and moved to the middle of the forest in Bedford. Bedford’s a little less snooty (I mean, they have a grocery store _gasp_) but still solidly in that group of towns known as Snoot-Centre.

Same as above, except 6 years later - and I never made it to Boyle Co High because of the living hell that my classmates made my daily life. So I tranferred to the crosstown rival, Danville. Made it to the Ninth grade (which was High School in Kentucky) in a MUCH better environment, then Dad got transferred AGAIN (if you haven’t figured it out yet, **tpayne** is my brother), and so I finished up at Scotland High School, In Laurinburg, NC (Class of 1982).
And you never know WHEN you’ll run across a classmate. One of my classmates from Danville is a poster at another, MUCH smaller board that I frequent.

1966 here (see post #161) good to see there a few of us here!
Age and wisdom will trump youth and enthusiasm…or something like that…it was on my husband’s t-shirt for his 40th…or 50th…who’s counting? I think my dad would have said,“hmmmph…whippersnappers!” 😃
