I have the [Lord of the Rings Centenary Edition](http://stjohnfisherforum.org/images/book_images/lotr_alan_lee_hardcover_front.jpg), but what I am looking for is the complete unabridged version in a leather bound edition… Has anyone ever heard of this or seen one? I wonder if one even exists. I don’t really care about the age…or edition, (first would be nice) but I’d just like one for my new humidor-bookcase.

Any Ideas?

When I Google on “The Lord of the Rings” and “leather bound”, I find that Amazon has them for $63.

I’m not looking for one with pictures of Elijah Wood in them or Sean Astin… I suppose I’m looking for the earlier pre-movie editions…

I thought I saw a brown leather LOTR with just the authoer and title on the from and the LOTR seal on the back… I may be mistaken

My dad has one. It’s bound in red leather with gold leaf embossing. He also has a matching Hobbit bound in green leather. I know you can still get them because a good friend of mine got one that looks exactly like it, except it’s not a second edition like my dad’s.

Anyway, as **Wendell** said, [Amazon](http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0618517650/103-9375785-8507066?v=glance&n=283155) has a leatherbound edition marking the 50th Anniversary.

Ah! Here is the [edition](http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0395193958/ref=pd_sbs_b_2/103-9375785-8507066?%5Fencoding=UTF8&v=glance&n=283155) my dad has.
