A couple days ago, I switched to using Thunderbird as my e-mail client (still like Opera for web browsing), and I’ve been exploring that piece of software. I’ve also been looking into various rss newsfeed sources and blogs, for the first time. And, of course, the Straight Dope.

I’ve been messing around on the Trek sites, checking the prices and reviews of lodging in San Diego and San Juan Capistrano for future use, and trying to find which stores sell Carlsberg beer because I can’t seem to locate it.
Seriously, does anyone know where I can get Carlsburg? Their flash-heavy loading site is a pain in the butt.

I’ve been looking at where to find a 78 RPM stylus for my phono cartridge. There was only one page of entries on Google, and there’s a place that will sell me the right model for $43.
I’ve been adding entries to the database of my record and CD collection, and using Google to search for the release year of songs that aren’t in the Billboard Top 40 book. Sometimes I can even get a chart position. That’s where I’ve been on the internet today.

Thanks for the link. I went there, and they don’t have the stylus I need. I use a Stanton 600E moving-iron cartridge (as opposed to moving magnet), which has been discontinued for years, but is prized for its warmth and clarity. There is only one model of 78 stylus that will fit this cartridge, and there was only one website where I could find it - but as it turns out, they are readily available.

I’ll have a look at the other goodies on the site you linked to. It looks like they’ve got some interesting stuff.
