I’ve travelled to the following places . [ul] [li]London - would really like to spend more time here .[/li][li]Scotland - Small place called Denny on a Greco-Roman/freestyle wrestling tour.[/li][li]France - Paris and all over the place on the same tour[/li][li]Belgium - Same tour[/li][li]Luxembourg - Yep you guessed it[/li][li]Germany - Last one with the tour .[/li][li]Amsterdam - Very possibly my favorite place in the world outside Ireland .[/li][li]Burlington ,Vermont - Loved it . Couldn’t believe how nice everyone was[/li][li]Bromont , Quebec - Great place . Close to Montreal .[/li][li]Montreal - See above[/li][li]Thailand - Loved it . Hopefully going back next year and then to Nepal/Tibet :D[/li][li]Malaysia - Lets just say that crossing the border by train is a horrible experience .[/li][li]Singapore - Big City . Nothing special and they wouldn’t let me into Raffles to have a Singapore Sling :rolleyes:[/li][/ul] Places I want to see . New York , San Francisco , lots of Australia , Moscow and the base camp of Everest . Where have you been to . What did you think and where do you what to see . ---

You’re quite the world traveller, yojimbo. I’ve been to Spain, London and Paris. I’m off to Australia later this year - just in time to miss the Olympics, in fact. I’ve loved every trip so far. The only interesting thing about my travels is that I’ve never spent any money on any of them. Three times to Europe with two different and very generous boyfriends. (One at a time - OF COURSE.) ---

Wow, yojimbo, I’m envious of your list. I’ve been all over California and Nevada, and I’ve seen Kaua’i and Hawai’i. Next spring sometime, I may go to New York, or California again. The list of places I want to see is much longer: New York City, Washington, D.C., Boston, Atlanta (to catch a Braves game in person), Duluth (I’ve got friends there), Alaska, Vancouver, Japan, Hong Kong, Australia, Italy, France, and London. ---

Woohoo! Travel time. So far: Europe, outside the Netherlands, which is my home country. But you knew that, perhaps. - Belgium - Germany - France - Spain - England (and I mean England. The only land of the UK I’ve been to, so far) - Italy - Greece - Austria - Switzerland - Liechtenstein - Andorra - Monaco (quit frowning, they all count :D) - Luxemburg - Turkey (which is part Asian as well, of course) - Czech Republic Africa - South Africa Asia - Singapore - Malaysia - Turkey (and yes, I did visit both the European and Asian side :D) Americas - Mexico To be added, next month: the Republic of Ireland. I’ve been to England, Ireland, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Iceland, Australia, the Cayman Islands, the Bahamas, Mexico, Canada, Macau and Hong Kong. I’d like to visit South Africa sometime, and I’d love to see the Mediterranean. ---

Hong Kong After this autumn, I will be able to add to that 8. Italy (well, the airport in Milan, anyway… doesn’t count, I know) 9. Nigeria (same caveat as above) 10. Ghana 11. Togo 12. Benin 13. Cote D’Ivoire In Nepal, I missed Everest Base Camp, but I did do the Annapurna Circuit trek, which, as you might expect, makes a circuit (over about 3 weeks) of the Annapurna Range, a group of the Himalayas west of the Everest Range. I highly reccommend it. In the future: Kashmir. It was too dangerous when I was last in that part of the world. The South Pacific, including New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, and any of the smaller islands I can get to. ---

My travel has involved sort of living places, rather than tours, so while the list is short, I was able to really experience the country. Outside of the US (home!), I have been in: Saudi Arabia: I was about 7 years old at the time, but we lived there for 8 months or so, so I remember a lot. It was the late 1960s, and not a lot of Caucasian children had been there–especially not chubby, fair-skinned and fair-haired, blue-eyed children like me and my two sisters. I remember getting a ton of attention wherever we went. One guy even gave me a golden heart charm, just 'cause I was cute. It was a fascinating country and I would like to go back someday. Germany: My mom is German, so I have spent lots of time there visiting relatives, etc. I LOVE Germany. Kenya: I was there for 3 months once, leading a student group. The students stayed with families and I got to visit them all, so it was a good way to get to know the country. Outside of the cities, Kenya is gorgeous! The animals and countryside are more amazing than I ever imagined. Seeing a bit of a country that is so different from the US was a great experience. Another country I want to see again!! ---

Great thread, since I am trying to figure out where to go on my next vacation and you guys can give me some ideas. Outside the U.S. : Florence Rome Barcelona Athens Prague Turkey (can’t remember the city, but near Ephesus) Cyprus Jerusalem and other places in Israel London Crete Amsterdam Bruge (sp?) Brussels Whale Watching in Baja - if you’re interested in this kind of trip I highly recommend [http://www.bajawhale.com](http://www.bajawhale.com) In the U.S., a bunch of places as a kid that I don’t remember, and these places as an adult: San Diego Santa Barbara Las Vegas Los Angeles New York New Orleans Orlando and other places I can’t remember and I live outside of Chicago, which is a great city. I was supposed to go to Kenya and Tanzania in 1998, but had to cancel due to a herniated disk. Had we gone, we would have been in Nairobi the day after the U.S. Embassy was bombed, so perhaps it was just as well. ---

I currently live in Osaka, Japan. My travels include: Japan \*Hiroshima - very moving experience \*Himeji - great castle, the one used in Shogun to represent Osaka Castle \*Kobe - before and after the '95 quake, but not during \*Kyoto - temples anyone? \*Nara - feed the deer, see the great Buddha \*Nagoya - just to take the Shinkansen (bullet train) from Osaka \*Tokyo - been there once and don’t plan to return Korea \*Seoul - even more beautiful women than in Japan \*Pusan - got mistaken for a Russian and offered a gun for sale Europe \*France - junior year abroad in Dijon, did a wine tasting course \*Germany - stayed with friends in the Black Forest \*Belgium - traveled around the country with Belgian friends, great beer \*Netherlands - Amsterdam and Gouda, to Coldfire: my favorite country in Europe \*Great Britain - got a sunburn in Inverness, got pissed everywhere else Canada \*Quebec - I thought I could speak French, but… \*Montreal - see above \*Niagara - Falls. Cool. U.S.A. \*Just about every state east of the Mississippi, plus Missouri, Iowa and California (L.A. and San Francisco) \*Best spots: Rhode Island beaches, New Orleans, Chicago Place I want to go most next: Australia ---

I’ve never been out of the US. States I’ve been to: Minnesota (Duh)… Wisconsin… North Dakota… Montana… Idaho… Washington… Iowa… Missouri… Kansas… Oklahoma… Texas… Illinois… Ohio… New York… Pennsylvania… Michigan… Indiana… I think that’s it. This is all within the last 6 months. Before that, I hadn’t left Minnesota in almost 15 years. (Not counting beer runs to Wisconsin. 😃 ) ---

Most of the US. Going overseas is too expensive for me. Most of the Eastern US except New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine. Louisana, Texas, New Mexico, Missouri. Might get to Minnesota next year. ---

I’ve been thru lots of US states, Europe and Africa. Places I want to go to are: Rio de Janiero - to walk down Copacabana Beach and gaze over the bay from Sugar Loaf Mountain China - to see that famous river valley that’s in all the paintings [has it been flooded yet by the dam?], to travel thru western Islamic China. Fallow that Silk Road and travel thru all those …stan countries. Sorry for the hijack. ---

I’ve been to: South Korea Japan The USA: Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, Texas, California, Louisiana, Mississippi Germany East Germany Czechoslovakia Hungary Austria Spain Italy The Netherlands Luxembourg Belgium France Switzerland The Vatican Denmark I really want to see more of the USA, specifically New York City, San Francisco, Boston and several of the National Parks. In Europe, I want to see Russia, Rumania and Portugal. I’m going to Dublin next month, can’t wait! I also want to go back to Asia (I was a child last time) and Australia, too. Canada and Mexico are must-sees, as well as Brazil and Peru. Heck, throw the rest of central and S. American in, too. I am desperatly trying to raise funds to go to Madagascar in February, but it doesn’t look too good right now. [quote] Thailand - Loved it .
