I wouldn’t worry about violence. These college freshmen tend to be a bit pale and stringy from living on Skittles and Dr. Pepper, nursing their sniffles while hunched over their alt-right hate fora and manufacturing OUTRAEG!!! on the SDMB while the actual feminists are busy digging their cars out of 4 feet of drifted snow so they can get to work. OP you got me, I now see the hypocrisy of the left and I’m changing my voter registration as we speak. I feel freer already, free from the burden of having to pretend to be outraged by misogyny on the right, no longer will I need to control my own misogynistic impulses. I can’t wait until my RNC ID card comes in the mail so I can start manhandling women’s vaginas without their consent. Oh, what a time this is going to be! Can you be a bit less confrontational, **Princhester**? **Debillw3** made an argument about the status and requirements of being “First Lady”, which failed to address the side argument regarding the relative ‘lady-likeness’ of Melania Trump as compared to SDMB username **Helena330**. However, **Debillw3** ’s reply was a perfectly valid continuation of that poster’s argument to the OP, and far more germane to the thread as a whole than the side argument. I’d say you’re both correct, just about two completely different points of contention. ---

Another thread from a conservative digging up some obscure incident most of us hadn’t even heard about and claiming it proves that liberals are all hypocrites, only to have the basis for the claim shot down in flames. Right now the current President and Republicans in both houses of Congress spew bigoted nonsense on a regular basis, and spent considerable time making vile remarks about Obama and his family. If you have to dig so deep your best example is an obscure rapper whose best years were when he was prepubescent - in an incident that, as it turns out, WAS widely condemned by liberals - I think it speaks volumes about your side of the argument. If you want like-for-like, though, fine: I condemn Bow Wow’s remarks as crude, misogynist and horrible. Now you get to condemn Ted Nugent for everything he’s said that was similarly crude, misogynist and horrible. It might take you a year or two to get through the list, admittedly. ---
