My representative, the Hon. Keith Ellison, is a Muslim. He is, however, a Lutheran Muslim, so its OK. ---

No, I’m not going to require every candidate to swear to put the US Constitution above their own religion. If elected, he or she will need to do that at the swearing in ceremony. To uphold the Constitution in all respects, not just wrt his religion. ---

My parents could be evangelical Total-Immersion Baptist snake handlers, but unless I consider Jesus of Nazareth to be a supernatural entity sent by God Herself to redeem all humanity, I ain’t no Christian. I assumed it worked the same way for Islam. ---

However, would you advocate for a Muslim candidate who choses radical, fanatical, or violent Islam over a candidate who believes in the BOR? Would you advocate for a Muslim candidate who advocates honor killings of their own children for leaving Islam, or their daughters for talking to boys? ---
