# Where is the place with the most lightning in the US? In the world?

Florida has the most in the US, specifically a strip of central Florida from Tampa to Titusville.
Rwanda in Africa has the most in the world.

The [Catatumbo Lightning](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catatumbo_lightning) has been occurring on an almost-nightly basis for as long as people have been around to document it.
