Where is your High School diploma? (plus bonus question)

My BA and MS diplomas are Permplaqued and hanging in my spare bedroom. I worked hard for those. My HS diploma(along with my certificate from the National Honor Society) is in its original envelope in a box of misc. memory stuff (on the shelf in my spare bedroom).

We have a sort of trophy case thing. Glass cabinet on top, closed cabinets underneath. Mine, and everybody else’s, is in the closed cabinet underneath.

We refer to it as “the archives.”

I think my Mom back in New York has all my school memorabilia, from my kindergarten ribbons through my college diploma.

In my filing cabinet.

Cleaning out my parents house years ago my brother and I found an 8th grade diploma from our Grandmother. 1909 (thereabout?) From a Buffalo NY public school. It’s entirely in German. “Buffalo” is the only English word. Weird thing is Grandma while of German decent didn’t speak it.

Brother framed it and put it on his “I love me” wall.

I think it’s on my bookcase. It’'s not being displayed; it came in a leather folder, and if it is in the bookcase, it would be in the closed folder, under a pile of books.

One of our friends proudly displayed his, framed and all, on the wall in his bathroom.
I’m pretty sure there was an editorial statement there.
I note it’s not there anymore, replaced by a framed artprint.

It’s in a bin of childhood stuff in the garage.

Mine was this wooden thing with a built in stand - I keep it on top of my bookcase in my bedroom. It says that I’m of good religous and moral character and is signed by a bishop, so I’m keeping it around for the apocalypse.

I have no idea if it still exists. I did come across my college diploma a few days ago when I was sorting some junk in our spare room. Frankly, I’m more inclined to frame and hang the certificate that says I crossed the Arctic Circle. Lots of people have college diplomas but many fewer have crossed the Circle!

Beats me. My parents might have it? I wouldn’t even know if it was ever mailed out. I didn’t bother to attend my HS commencement, but even if I had, they didn’t hand you your diploma on stage; they handed you a generic certificate, for appearances sake. If something got mucked up, they didn’t want 400 kids milling around trying to figure out who had the one with the right name on it.

My college diploma is in my bookcase. No one has ever asked to see it, and I know where it is mainly because it’s of sentimental value, and I have other ‘important but retrievable in case of loss’ papers like a copy of my birth certificate and standard eyeglass Rx stuffed into the cover behind it.

It’s in a box on my bookshelf, along with my university degrees, birth certificate and passport and the title deed to my flat. I put it in that box when I received it, and I have never needed to show it to anybody. The only time my high school results mattered was when I applied to university, and the university just got my results directly from the education department.

It’s in my memorabilia box with my grad school diploma and other certificates, photos, and other small items that have sentimental value. I did work for an employer who wanted a copy of my diplomas – the college one is framed so I had to carry that thing on the subway to work to make a copy.

I have no idea. I remember being underwhelmed by the size. I don’t think it was much bigger than an index card.

Mine is in a cardboard box somewhere where I keep stuff. A simple 8x10 sheet; not the big scrolly stuff of older generations. A bit more color, though, than in the old days.

I don’t recall ever seeing my high school diploma and have no idea where it is. My college diploma is enclosed in a small folder with my university’s insignia and school colors. My college minor diploma is a parchment paper that I had framed. They’re in my bedroom.

I took it off a display shelf in my bedroom and dusted it off, and packed it in a box, 10 years ago when I moved. I believe said box remains unpacked at the top of my guest room closet.

In my safe deposit box.

File cabinet with my college diploma.

Mine is on the wall. So is my BA degree.

Amusingly, my “graduation” certificate from Kindergarten is on the wall, too. They all hold about the same value.

My HS diploma is framed next to my nursing school diploma (AAS.) I keep it there for one noteworthy thing about it: my HS diploma is dated 2 months AFTER my nursing school degree. It makes for interesting conversations.
