I can’t imagine he’s a troll. What troll would put that much effort into it? It would be so much easier to throw our some racist shit to get everyone’s attention. This seems like WAY too much effort to go through. I honestly believe he’s a combination of delusional and just plain stupid. ---

If he’s a troll, he’s sure wasting a lot of time typing up epic assloads of text. You’d think a master troll would be able to rustle one’s jimmies with a few carefully selected sentences. I think Hanlon’s Razor is applicable here. ---

i really struggle to see him as anything but a troll. for one thing, he’s savvy. i don’t mean in his theory, i mean in just how he’s managing this. he masterfully dodges real criticism and direct questions that may derail his game. he even tries to fold back in the portions that have collapsed on him–that is contradictions, when pointed out, become “_you’re proving my point for me_!” he’s not dumb. what he’s saying is \*clearly \*dumb, but he has enough working knowledge to talk over a lot of people’s heads. i knew people like him on the paranormalists forum. they were clearly smart, learned, and had enough knowledge to talk big talks, which made their crazy bullshit sound pretty “scientific” to the dumber folk. but in the end, they just wanted to “have figured something special” out. i can’t tell if he’s crazy, really believes his bullshit, or is just getting everyone’s goat. it’s been interesting to watch unfold, but i don’t see that the conversation will \*ever \*end. he is disliked enough to get banned soon, i think…other than that, i see this going on forever. ---

It’s sometimes a tough call to make when the trolls are so indistinguishable from the real thing. In college, you’d occasionally get a couple nuts in philosophy class who were just like Anthem. They get drawn to these unfalsifiable theories, not understanding why unfalsifiable theories are worthless, and then use their foggy misunderstanding of math/physics to justify it to themselves. Feeling clever, they just berate the everloving shit out of anyone who questions them and ignore most of the crucial counterpoints. ---

It reminds me of when I was about six, and reading voraciously about dinosaurs. Back then, all the books stated that we had no idea why the dinosaurs died out. I figured it out one day. Obviously, all of the plant-eaters ate all the plants and died because they had no food. And then all the meat-eaters died because they had to plant-eaters to eat. It was so OBVIOUS to me. ---

I’ll defend his right not to be badgered by pompous fuckwits, too. I haven’t got a clue about the veracity of everything he’s saying, but the way some pricks are jumping down his throat as if he’s their peforming monkey who they expect to dance at their slightest whim, while banging on about how he can’t really know what he’s on about because nobody with authority they recognise supports him, is annoying as fuck. ---
