# Where the heck is Kenny?

I just watched South Park for the first time in over a year, and things, apparently, have changed. Where the hell is Kenny, and who is this Butters kid? This is unacceptable. :mad:

Kenny’s dead. I suppose it stuck that last time. IIRC, he died of cancer - a surprising moment of taste from Parker & Stone in not bringing him back from it. Butters is the other kid who isn’t very funny at all. He’s been in the background for years.

The mandatory killing-Kenny gag got old, too. I’m glad Stone and Parker made the switch. And Butters IS funny, because he’s a (you should pardon the expression) pussy.

I find Butters both funny and interesting. He’s a great foil for the other three (especially Cartman) to push around, and his parents are just plain frightening. Good move, though I’ll miss Kenny.
