I grilled salmon and made wild rice (none of that there tame stuff for us!) and steamed broccoli and carrots. All nice and healthy. I remedied that however by makin’ a cheese sauce to go on the broccoli and carrots. Hey, no need to go all fanatic with this healthy eatin’ bidness, right? 😃 ---

Egg salad sammiches on rye and a side of Cheetos - healthy supper. 😃 OK, maybe “healthy” isn’t the word I meant to use. 😛 \*\*FCD \*\*talked to his boss today - I won’t be going back to work till some work comes in. No idea how long that will be, but knowing my luck, just about the time I’m up to my elbows with gardening, some big project will pop up and they’ll need me. We shall see. So we (my kids & I) are here at my parents instead of the mountain cabin this week. After a hospital stay I viewed this as a smart alternative. My parents were happy for the visit. Dad suggested we go visit the Dover AFB museum which we did yesterday. Everyone enjoyed it more than I expected. We are hoping for a nice bike ride tomorrow. One thing that has been fun is that I bought a bunch of food to be made on a wood stove, so I have been making fun cabin foods here at the house. Wednesday night I made double grilled cheese & bacon sandwiches. That was a hit. I made pancakes & applesauce this morning (well noon - I slept in). My son, the gamer, has been up my butt to play various computer games with him. I have countered with “I will play card games with you.” So it looks like my mom will join me in a little gin rummy or some such. So far so good. I am beginning to think I overreacted going to the hospital Monday, but that only comes with the benefit of hindsight. Not really all that worried 'bout it. Catch 'yall later. ---

You know about making matzoh out of Christian baby blood? We are trying to keep that quiet. Mrs. Plant (v.3.0) painted my toenail while I thought she was playing with my foot. What do I need to get it off, sulfuric acid? Acetone? My pocket knife? :eek: ---

Since we have one prominently pregnant Mumper and a couple that are trying, here are some questions and answers dealing with pregnancy: Q: Should I have a baby after 35? A: No, 35 children are enough. Q: I’m 2 months pregnant now. When will my baby move? A: With any luck, right after he finishes college. Q: What is the most reliable method to determine a baby’s sex? A: Childbirth Q: My wife is 5 months pregnant and so moody that sometimes she’s borderline irrational. A: So, what’s your question? Q: My childbirth instructor says it’s not pain I’ll feel during labour, but pressure. Is she right? A: Yes, in the same way that a tornado might be called an air current. Q: When is the best time to get an epidural? A: Right after you find out you’re pregnant. Q: Is there any reason I have to be in the delivery room while my wife is in labour? A: Not unless the word “alimony” means anything to you. Q: Is there anything I should avoid while recovering from childbirth? A: Yes. Pregnancy. Q: Do I have to have a baby shower? A: Not if you change the baby’s diaper very quickly. Q: Our baby was born last week. When will my wife begin to feel and act normal again? A: When the kids are in college ---
