Happy Hump Day! It’s 10 degrees above freezing and pitch black outside. Dog woke me but I was having some weird dream anyway. I had to work in some new computer center and there was something wrong in the wiring and stuff was blowing up and everybody was just walking into the building and reporting for work like nothing was going on. You could see burned corpses sitting at the desks and everybody still was filing in like nothing was wrong. I kept saying we shouldn’t go in until we know it’s safe but nobody would listen. And it was pouring rain, I was wearing these horrible pointy toe high heel pumps, and I was sliding in the wet leaves, all the steps were crumbling and all the railings were twisted up. ---

And the day is ending with good news. That’s nice. I’m up too late. I’m starting to do things like opening my bookmark, [here](http://bigend.tumblr.com/post/22644889370/live-feed-of-the-ongoing-pitch-drop-experiment), and thinking: “It looks like a live feed. But if it’s just a static image, how would I ever know?” It’s in Wikipedia. [Pitch drop experiment - Wikipedia](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pitch_drop_experiment) I heard about it on Radiolab. The professor they interviewed said that he’s never caught it dropping. He’s always been out of the lab that day. Last time, they had a camera set up, but it malfunctioned. This time, he says, they have three cameras on it. And, apparently, the internet. Unless it isn’t really a live feed. I mean, how would I . . . . I need to get to bed. G’night, mumpers. ---

OK, I don’t know where you people grew up, but cat prints on the ceiling is well-documented in Looney Tunes. A cat is sleeping peacefully. A dog enters the room and suddenly “_yapyapyapyapyapyapyapyap_” which causes the cat to immediately shoot into the air and cling to the ceiling. What kind of childhood did you folks have?? How could you not know this??? 😛 I was awakened by a dog leaping upon my sleeping self. I had heard \*\*FCD \*\*get into the shower, but I missed the part where he let the dog out and fed her. Once she’d inhaled her morning ration, she charged down the hall and took a flying leap into the bed. Talk about a rude awakening! Heck of a way to start the day. Then I was going to have PB&J for breakfast. I thought I grabbed the strawberry jam. It was pepper jelly. ick. Today, \*\*FCD \*\*talks to his boss (who is technically my boss) to try to find out what’s going on. My coworker John is taking over the stuff I was doing. Nathan will be coming back from his assignment on base, and I think \*\*FCD \*\*is going to have him straighten out some issues with the database and master templates. But neither of those things will last long… So I have no idea how long my re-retirement will stretch out. Today’s plans include finishing up the pottery that’s in my cabinet. Beyond that, I have no idea. I should probably try to clean my studio - it’s becoming a bit of a disaster area down there. I especially need to clean the glazing station before I get to glazing all these things that I’ve made. So I guess I know what my day will be. \*\*tugig \*\*- glad you’ve got an answer, and I hope it goes into remission quickly. Enjoy you kid time! \*\*Apes \*\*- have you tried hanging from your ankles and using gravity to keep the Apelette in place a while longer? 😃 That’s all I can manage for now. Happy Wednesday!! ---

Blurf. Another night where I was dreaming of insomnia. When I wasn’t dreaming that I couldn’t sleep, I was running around Cottonfield County without any pants. :rolleyes: Fresh from the “Just for **Swampy** ” department: Per my usual morning routine, I make my brekkies when I get to the orifice. I was washing out my coffee mug, and noticed the sink was running very slow. I looked down the drain, and caught in the debris trap was, I keed you not, 3 or 4 cooked fart blossom leaves. They were quickly removed and the water ran fine. ---
