# Where to get info on having surgery in Thailand ?

I am an American working in China, and I will soon need to have surgery on my throat.  
I do not have health insurance in America, so returning to America for surgery is not something that I can afford.  
I have lived for the past ten years in Asia, and to the best of my knowledge Thailand is the best place to go for more affordable health care.

I live in China, but several ENT doctors in China have told me that most Chinese doctors do not have the equipment or the experience necessary for my surgery.

Anyway, are there are any forums or websites where I can get opinions and information about hospitals and doctors in Thailand ?

I can’t help you with any specifics, but at the hospital I work in, the official term for overseas patients is “medical tourism”.  
Google is your friend. Lots of hits on that phrase, from lots of different countries.
