Where to go for free credit report?

Simple question right? But with so many scams out there, I’m a bit reluctant to send my SS number to anyone.

I’ve never looked for my credit report before (I now I should be checking it).

Where do you go for your yearly free report?

AnnualCreditReport is the government’s site. It’s more or less the only place to get a free credit report that isn’t attached to buying a product.

The link you posted is THE non-scam source. It’s sponsored by the big three reporting agencies directly.

Thanks. I also ‘confirmed’ that on Clark Howards site.

Sort of a bummer though. Only one of the agencies will/can confirm my identity. I think It has to do with having a different mailing address than a physical address.

Nah. We live in the mountains. No one gets mail delivered. To much snow, and too remote. Our mailing address is in a ski resort town about 12 miles away. :stuck_out_tongue:
