So your from Fremont, NE. Sorry about that. We all can’t be perfect.
Are you against moving back to the Omaha area? I like it. Most of the benifits of a big city and few of the problems. Traffic and housing are not to bad. Jobs are more than plentiful. You’re a Husker fan, so HUSKER FAN [sup]TM[/sup] shouldn’t bother you to much(they drive me crazy). So unless you are affraid of white people you should be ok. There isnt much to do here though unless you like to drink, shop, eat and go see movies.

I’m glad to see so many people saying good things about upper east Tennessee. I’ve been getting concerned about the move (it’s 6 weeks from today) and how I’ll like Knoxville, since I haven’t spent much time there.
Meanwhile, I still don’t have an apartment, and have gotten no responses from the places I’ve sent resumes. I’m going anyway.
There’s two drive-ins? I’ve only found one…and I don’t even remember exactly where it’s at. I could find it again if I drove around for a while.
I tried to get my friends to drive out there to see a movie, but they refused. Something about how we got lost trying to leave Tinseltown and they certainly weren’t going to go drive around looking for a movie theater again. Hmph.

I’m one of those 40,000 college kids here in Madison, WI. While I do love it here, I’m sorta getting tired of the politics. I don’t mean the liberalism or anything, just the way the city guv’ment works. It’s definitely a small town pretending to be a big city, with no real vision of where the place should be going. Other than that, it’s a great place to be. And the bars are open til 2!
Have you thought about the Minneapolis/St. Paul area? My mom lives in Minneapolis now, and I lived in a suburb for awhile. Ooodles of theatres, galleries, outdoor festivals and lots of parks. Even if the thought of living in a bigish city puts you off there are some neighborhoods of the cities and some suburbs which have more of a townish feel. I really loved living there, and may go back once I’m done with my degrees.
Jess - yeah, I’m just up the road from you in Bristol. There’s the one on the Volunteer Parkway, where we go, and there’s one a little further up on the Lee Highway.
Unfortunately, next weekend is “Scooby Doo” - and the kids already know…
Ohhh…well, I know where the one is on Volunteer Parkway. I like to point it out every time we drive by and go “ooh, look, a drive-in!” But we don’t usually drive up much farther than that.
