Where to report the results of mundane, silly experiments?

The funniest thing Rob ever did was to make dozens of copies of his grocery store loyalty card bar-code printed onto peel&stick paper. He then mailed them out to anyone wanting to play along. Participants then pasted Rob’s loyalty card bar-code onto their cards.

Suddenly the grocery chain had interesting data on Rob, suggesting strange buying and travel habits.

I was about to post the same link. Rob is a funny guy with a quirky since of curiosity.

Did he get all their fuel points as well?

I found the prank!! It was in 2002. Now I have to get back to work.

Sounds perfect for the MMP actually. We’ve already had some stuff like that now and then.

I was published in either that or the Annals of Irreproducible results many, many years ago. I think the Annals came first, then handed it over to a new editor, then there was a lawsuit about who owned the title, and now there’s the JIR.

However, if people are going to conduct double blind experiement with children I think it’s only responsible to do a design of experiments and make them do the math. Student’s T-test for everyone!

Uhhhh, yeaaaahhh, but my niece is 30 years old…
