# Where Was This Picture Taken?

Let’s play a little game.
Post some pictures you’ve taken around town or on your travels, and let’s see if we can figure out where or what they are.
No, not your yard or basement, or a tepui in Venezuela.
Give us a fighting chance of having been there or at least seen it on the Discovery Channel!
Let’s not make it too obvious, either. Cable cars or the Empire State Building make it too easy, but maybe inside the ESB, or a particular museum or attraction.

Looks like ruins somewhere along the east side of Death Valley, looking towards the west.

Yup, when I heard that Robert Smithson’s magnificent earthworks reappeared after being submerged for 30 years due to The Great Salt Lake’s level rising, I wanted to check it out. It’s remote as hell, but at least you can check out Golden Spike National Historic Site ( meeting place of the Central Pacific and Union Pacific railroads ) while you are there.
