# Where Would The Barack Obama Presidential Library Be Located?

Looking ahead, it is only 3 years away! Where would such a library be located? and, what architectural style would it be in? Have the WH staff been cataloging stuff for it now?  
I’d like to see the NSA portion of the library!🆒

Kenya, duh.

Seriously though, Obama has lived in Chicago for practically his entire adult life. I doubt they’d put anywhere else. But if they did, it’d go in Hawaii, where he spent the majority of his childhood.

Chicago: Hyde Park neighborhood ( where Mr. Pres. lives ) or Bronzeville, an African American neighborhood with much history that could use the tourism interest.

Besides Hyde Park being his residence, another point in its favor is that it also contains the University of Chicago, where he was a lecturer for many years.

I believe that many of the recent presidential libraries have been associated with universities, so it seems likely that Obama’s will be with the University of Chicago. And I expect that in the next year or so, his people will start quietly to solicit contributions for the library. The recent ones have been expensive (GWB’s cost over $300 million).
