Ah geez, just the thought of no internet makes me curl over into the fetal position.
Hmm…where would I be…well, I wouldn’t be sitting here in front of this computer in my nighty posting this message.
I also wouldn’t be as aware of the diversity of our world and society as I am now.

But _hypothetically_, if there were no Internet:
then I would have lost my mind quicker at work, for there often can be slow periods.
I would have gotten a lot more reading done.
I would have gotten a lot more writing done.
I would have…no…I can’t continue with this. The mere idea of this OP is too horrible to sustain in my consciousness for any length of time. It’s not even funny to joke about such things…

Some research would be harder, which would be a drawback. On the other hand, I’d read more for pleasure and get more sleep. Like everything else, there’d be good and bad points.

I’d be watching seeing more movies, videos, tv; reading more books, newspapers, etc. I’d know less about any number of things.

Where: I’d be right here, playing games instead of reading mundane stuff other people wrote.
How my life would be different:
A. I would not be marrying the future Mrs. Six next month. We met through internet personals.
B. I still have to pay for porn.
C. I would be paying a lot more for Hong Kong DVD’s. Those Chinese movies that cost $30 at Suncoast? As little as $6 if you import them yourself.
D. My phone bill would be about $120 per month less (no phone calls to the Philippines to talk to the person mentioned in A).
E. I would spend my time posting to BBS’s instead of Web sites (is this cheating? a bbs isn’t the internet)
F. I would actually have to buy a newspaper, rather than have the stuff I want to read about selected for me each day.
G. I would only check my mail once a day.

I wouldn’t have met my amazing **Shayna** (Hi Sweetie) and fallen for her.
I’d be way more ignorant about a whole lot of subjects.
I wouldn’t have met some amazing friends.
And presumably, noone would’ve paid me to play with me to routers and I would’ve had to actually work for a living.

I figure I’d probably be doing about the same thing I was doing back in the 1970s, handholding my RJE due to the bugs in my JCL so now I can’t get my job back from RJOR.

Without the internet, I would be surrounded by the mindless-so-inside-the-box-just-don’t-friggin’-get-it-I-shop-therefore-I-am women with their snot nosed germ infested panty waisted demon seed children that I would have had to become one of them by day in order to don my mask, cape and rapier at night to poke holes in their mini van tires.

You make me want to take away your internet just to see how much good you can do.
Remember to slice almost, but not all the way, through the tires. That way they only burst when under great strain, like during high speed highway driving. And a linoleum knife is better, especially the kind that has blade tips you can break off to get a new, sharp edge whenever you need it. Saves wear and tear on the rapier. And a black sweatsuit with a black cotton ski mask saves wear and tear on the cape.
