I’ve always wanted to live in Japan. I have no idea why. There is just something very appealing about Japan, even if it is crowded, noisy, and polluted, at least in the cities. I’ve never even been there, so I don’t know if this interest is something that would wear off after a couple of months, but I’d at least like to give it a try.
In the u.s.,I would say San Diego. It’s supposed to have the best climate.Up here in Maine it’s cold! Outside the u.s.,it should be somewhere there isn’t a lot of political strife.hmmmm…Spain,I guess.
Pitcairn Island.
They only allow a couple of folks in every year, and you have to have especial skills that they can use, like doctor or teacher…so they probably wouldnt take me anyway…
Sealemon, come to new brunswick, it is rugged and full of trees and with a texas accent, you will be eaten alive!
orangecakes, I LIKE it cold…so my choice is coastal Maine, WAY the hell downeast, like Winter Harbor or Machiasport. Lots of salt in the air, log fires and fuzzy sweaters. And the beanpot in the oven.

The Blue Ridge Mountains of North Georgia or North Carolina. A little piece of heaven on earth.
oooh ooooh ooooh, i forgot one. Once, when I was about 15 I camped right on a beach with my dad and little brother… it was Holden Beach, North Carolina. To this day, having visited beaches on the East and West US coasts and in Hawaii, that beach is still by far my favorite.
I could build a little cabin there and live my days in peace and hermit-like solitude.
yeah.

Holden beach? I use to go there also, family stuff. I hardly ever meet anyone who has been there.
I haven’t traveled nearly as much as I will in the future so it’s hard to say…
If I were going to leave the US permanently it would have to be Niagara Falls, Canada or maybe Venice. I love to people watch and Niagara is the best place to do it. There is a bar called ‘The International Beer House and the entire front of it opens up to one of the main streets in Niagara. It’s oh so nice. Oh, and I love the people.
In the US? Maine, Seattle, Pittsburgh. I have always wanted to live in Maine.
I seem to have developed an interest in Rhode Island. Anyone here from there, ever been there?
I’ve been to Providence and Newport. Newport’s pretty cool but very expensive.
I didn’t get to see much though, I was working on a project for the Navy’s Undersea Warfare Center. Plus I was only there for a week. Pretty hard to see out the windows on the subs, and of course the subs are all in Groton, CT. anyway.
