By the way. I’ll attempt to slog through the thousands of posts concerning the subject if I get the time, but maybe you can be a sport and help me out here. Can you link to the posts you’ve made vehemently calling out Cindy Sheehan? After all, she birthed one of those murderous criminals. \*Note to everyone else. I just want to know if he’s truly against any and every soldier, or if it’s some wild attack on the Administration that happens to be focused on the military this time. ---

There is no one on this board that hates this war more than I do. I’m a Nam vet. You do not criticize the troops for doing what they are told. You hold the commanders responsible. There are probably a few bad apples as there is in any large group. But to condemn them all for what goes on is beyond the pale. You are losing any respect you might have had on this board. When you criticize the troops you criticize me. Fuck you. ---

Der Trihs is an extremist no different from the type of people that set themselves on fire or blow themselves up for their beliefs. I learned a long time ago that people like that aren’t rational nor are they very close friends of “reality.” ---

Both of my grandfather served in WWII (although, to be fair, neither was actually in combat-one was a mechanic, the other was a driver for a general). I have uncles that served in Korea. One of the reasons I am so against this war is BECAUSE of the troops. No, there wasn’t a draft this time around, but that doesn’t mean they should give their lives up for a pointless, wrong war. ---

Gotta disagree with the bomber part. How do you respect someone that is so beholden and dedicated to their belief, that they do everything they can to conceal thier intent of carrying out an act in the name of it? That’s not bravery, it’s cowardice. Confront me face to face with the weapon of your choice. At least you have the balls to come out about it. Sneak up behind me and cheap shot me with a bat? Eh, not much to respect. ---

Big difference. Asymmetrical warfare is a different topic entirely. In general, I would say that I respect the Buddhists; I don’t know what I feel about the bombers. “Respect” is the wrong word. I feel that a true commitment to a cause is to be acknowledged with…what? I disagree with them, but they show commitment. A little help with the wording here? In any case **Der Trihs** is a fool. ---
