I’ve seen photos of Heidi Cruz off and on. And I saw part of a tv interview with Chris Christie and Mary Pat once, but that may have been before this campaign. Considering the flak that was tossed at Teresa Heinz Kerry by Republicans twelve years ago, Bush and Rubio may be downplaying the whole “foreign wife” thing? ---

Bush’s wife kept a relatively low profile when he was Governor as well. Rubio’s wife was born in the United States (to immigrant parents). She isn’t any more foreign then Marco himself is. In anycase, I think its pretty normal to politicians wives to be limited to smiling in campaign videos and making small talk at fundraisers during primary season. ---

I’ve heard that Jeanette Rubio doesn’t like campaigning or public speeches either. Heidi Cruz is probably the most actively involved wife. I wouldn’t expect to hear much from a candidate’s spouse until the convention. ---
