# Where's the love for liverwurst?

By odd coincidence I just had a liver sausage sandwich. On a wheat roll smeared with spicy maple mustard. Very tasty but calorific so I don’t indulge very often.

If **Biggirl** is still checking in on this thread, she should try the house-made liverwurst at Jubilat Provisions, just a dozen blocks down the street from her on Brooklyn’s fabulous Fifth Avenue. That is some good liverwurst.

The tradition in Spouse’s family is cheap store-bought sweet rolls (the kind in the foil tray), a layer of real butter, and braunschweiger on top. Sounds disgusting, but it actually is quite good.
