Why set The Dude’s car on fire, what purpose did that serve. Maybe rather than rummaging through his car in public it was easier to just drive it off and search it in Bunny’s garage. Who knows. The point is, if you think Larry did it - fine. It’s open to discussion. But to categorically state that he did it because the Coen’s overheard an anecdote at a party is taking things a bit to literally. ---

So this thread prompted me to watch the movie again and I discovered something I did not know or even think of… The movie is named for the old, rich Lebowski. It’s right in the credits!
