i forgot to add, i have been to the the metrodome, the world famous wall drug in wall south dakota, and of course the sirloin stockade in sioux city iowa, (but then again who hasn’t) ---

It’s beginning to look to me as though the city or town may be the closest we’ll get to “the place” but I’m wondering if we can zoom in on that city or town by first getting to a state we’ve all been in. So far, it’s looking like: Georgia Illinois Tennessee New York North Carolina Florida Louisiana Texas South Carolina District of Columbia Maryland Virginia If you have NOT been in one of these states, please list the one(s) you have not been in. Maybe we can get it to the state level as a first pass, then get to sections of the state later. ---

Well, **Zeldar** , the _only_ one of those states I’ve been to is Texas (and then just to switch planes) so unless you want to limit your query to American dopers only, I’ve done most of the narrowing-down work for you. 🙂 ---

I guess that suggests you list other states you’ve been in outside the list I just put up. There’s still some chance we have at least one state that all of the USA Dopers have been in. I’ve already given up on the idea that the non-USA Dopers could be in on the “one place” concept. It’s also highly likely that even the USA Dopers are going to have to have a larger geographic area to consider “common ground” than some specific place. In spite of that reservation, I think it would be fun to try to find what area that would be. ---
