I’ve heard things about Mark Farner of Grand Funk. He did hit on my friend who was working his gig about 8 years ago.

I’d put money on Chuck Berry.

A bit off topic but i remember hearing an interview with the groupie Sweet Connie, the one Grand Funk Railroad sings about in the song, “We’re An American Band.”

Anyway, she’s hit the sack with practically everyone in the rock business and when asked who has the biggest penis, she gushed, “Oh! Huey!”

Of course she was also asked who had the smallest and after a bit of prodding and reluctance, she said, “Peter Frampton. Oh, but he’s just the sweetest, most loving man. Such a tender lover, that knew how to satisfy in lots of other ways.”

Asfar as the OP, I would guess Jimmy Page had a lot of action.

VH-1 had a show about groupies a couple years ago, and I think it was Sweet Connie who said, “I blew all the guys in Grand Funk except for Mark Farner, and he later became a Christian.”

Speaking of blowing, what about that Rod Stewart urban legend?

Huey has women in D.C., San Antone and the Liberty Town, Boston and Baton Rouge. Tulsa, Austin, Oklahoma City, Seattle, and San Francisco, too. Not to mention Cleveland and Detroit.

Connie was looking a bit rough in that VH-1 show, but the band members are still making time for her because she’s an institution. I suppose it’s a bit like getting head from the Statue of Liberty

I can think of 3 different ways that might be interpreted (‘she’s underselling him’, ‘she’s overselling him’, and ‘he doesn’t sleep around’)…any hint which she meant?

Especially if you are tired, poor, yearning to breathe free, wretched refuse, homeless or tempest-tossed.

It was quite a while ago, so I don’t remember what all she said, but the gist of it was that the man the alleged groupie described was definitely not the poster’s husband.

In their group autobiography “The Dirt”, Motley Crue (yet another contender, BTW) talked about touring with Judas Priest, and upon meeting Rob Halford thought, “‘This dude must get ALL the chicks!’ Little did we know.”

I bet Freddie Mercury had a lot of podnas too; unfortunately, he paid the ultimate price for it.

> Brian Jones did a rough estimate of his diurnals, and the result made even a one-night stand a mathematical impossibility.

The Stones were very competitive when it came to girls, and Bill Wyman kept a logbook of how many girls each of them had nailed.

Brian Jones had a huge lead over everyone else, by the time Wyman stopped logging the numbers. Drummer Charlie Watts had a zero by his name, since he was married and didn’t cheat on his wife.

Yeah, men and women. I hope he didn’t spread HIV to anybody else. He said that AIDS “changed his life” when it came to public attention, and publicly recommended that “anyone who’s been promiscuous” should get tested.

Kinda leaving the 20th Century Pop icons (male or female or otherwise) whose appetite ran in non-poontang directions out of the spreadsheeet, aren’t we?

You think there weren’t some womens who notched an at least comparable number of scratches in more bedposts than these busy fellows?

Laura Nyro seems to have slept with every rock musician in New York and Los Angeles during her heyday (1968-1971)…her Bronx Italian-Jewish Earth Mama good looks probably seemed enticingly exotic to the SoCal boys bored with all the willowy blondes. She had a long affair with Jackson Browne, whose music I abhor but I gotta admit was pretty tasty as a lad. In the late 80’s, Nyro finally came out of the closet as a lesbian, but it’s tough to think she wasn’t enjoying herself in those early days.

The great jazz singer Lee Wiley cut a swath through a lot of the top jazzers of the '30s and '40s, including Bunny Berrigan, the handsome swing trumpeter who counted Armstrong among his fans and supporters.

In Sammy Hagar’s autobio, he describes that the band had on-stage signals they’d give to their roadies, sending a constant stream of girls backstage. There were camping tents often setup behind or beneath the stage. Eddie and Alex were the constants in the tents, and Sammy was also a frequenter of the tents.
