The seven above constitue all the ones I know of in the NBA, NFL, MLB, and NHL. I don’t follow CFL. There’s gonna be a lot more than eight if you don’t narrow down that “ETC”. ---

Who the hell are these DAMN teams? When I was a kid, all the team names ended in S, except the Sox and they sucked so it didn’t matter anyway, _AND WE LIKED IT!_ ---

My Father pulls this question out once every couple of years. There are supposed to be seven in the NCAA. I usually run out at four. Wolfpack (NC State) Crimson Tide (Alabama) Fighting Irish (Notre Dame) Fighting Illiani (Somewhere) Orangemen (Somewhere else) Woo-hoo I got five. ---

That’s the Fighting Illini of the University of Illinois (motto: “Why do the Spartans even get off the bus here?”) The Orangemen of Syracuse became the more-pc “Orange” You have to love schools who think orange and blue match. I’ll add: Red Storm (St. John’s) Green Wave (Tulane) and I’m not sure if it’s the “official” nickname, but: Midshipmen (Navy) ---
