Perhaps ‘one of the best bands in the whole world’ is too subjective. I continue to peruse my copy of _The New Musical Express Encyclopedia of Rock_ (Hamlyn, 1978) for inspiration. ---

**Derek and the Dominoes**? I don’t think they played together after 1971; hell, they hardly played together _before_ that either! ---

Roxy Music released albums into the '80s, IIRC. But I like that idea. ---

**Fleetwood Mac** with **Peter Green** , maybe? I saw Peter Green 3 or 4 years ago and, while he was coasting for much of the time, he did step up and play some great stuff a couple of times… I see from Wiki that there has actually been a reunion announced by Mick Fleetwood! John Fogerty is definitely booked to play at Glastonbury, and it may well be that Stu Cook and Cosmo Clifford are going to join him for this gig. Of course, Tom Fogerty died a long time ago (still on very bad terms with John- there was no tearful deathbed reconsiliation), so it’s not a REAL reunion. But 75% is better than nothing. ---
