I love the songs that everyone else loves too but my favorite “deep cut” is “Downeaster Alexa”. ---

I like all of Joel’s work because the musicianship is excellent, not crazy weird punkish or heavy…and the lyrics are generally evocative while being, most importantly, easy to understand. So much crap on the air these days that needs captioning to make any sense at all, and, even then… I didn’t see a mention of Allentown, or ‘We will all go down together’… spoke to my generation, truly. ---
